Shine the Light into Your Darkness

Never run away from the bad feelings. When fears come up and you’re afraid of the darkness within yourself, the first thing you need to do is calm down and take deep breaths.

Love yourself at this very moment and remind yourself that it is okay to be upset, triggered, or angry. Give yourself the right to feel whatever you’re feeling.

Take your fears by the horns and confront the overwhelming feelings head-on.

True self-control begins when you’re willing to shed light on the darkness within you. When you are no longer afraid, nothing and no one has power over you. You don’t need to run or escape to anyone or anything.

Suddenly, there is light within you. Your fears and the darkness dissipate, and a joyful life becomes a possibility.
